Burundi next on cook around the world and this is an attempt at boko boko harees,
Sort of a boiled bulghur wheat and chicken job
Not a very authentic attempt as I didn’t have chicken giblets and also I think it’s supposed to be more porridge-y, but I was hungry so took it off early.
I’m not sure how authentic to Burundi it is either, I know a lady from there so I’ll check.
Whatever it is I’m digging it, it’s nice (despite the picture), there is a tumeric sauce thing (just water, tumeric and sugar) which is simple but good.
