Food in Argentina | Dulce de Leche

Argentina next on my quest to *badly* cook my way around the world.
This is a very lazy attempt at dulce de leche.
I’ll be honest and say I got tired stirring the milk and took it off early. It should be browner, like condensed milk… it’s probably like Banoffee topping. My attempt was more like watery custard.

This probably one of those items that it would be better to buy from someone who knows what they’re doing. Like good fudge or quality beer.

alfajores

Some alfajores and a medialuna, ( an Argentinian croissant) from an Argentinian bakery I was near this morning.

I forgot about the alfajores in my bag, that’s why they looked bedraggled ….one has a chocolatey filling and the other had dulce de leche and coconut.

I liked Dublin today, I picked up some cookery books in a bookshop to help with the obscure countries I still have to cook for,
the sun was shining, people were quite friendly,
saw some new areas, had some nice coffee,

but I’m ready to get back to Knocknacarra
