
And on to Belgium….this is Carbonade flamande, sort of a Flemish recipe with beef, onions and beer….bit of thyme as well.
I had to use a can of IPA from Florida for this as it was all there was in the cupboard when you’d be using a strong, dark Belgian type normally….still nice though.
The recipe said serve with some mash and sauerkraut.I like sauerkraut but it doesn’t necessarily like me
I want a Trappist beer now.
