Cuisine in Lebanon | fattoush

This was supposed to be fattoush from Syria..again one of my recipe books has given me slightly wonky instructions for this,

cause when I Googled everyone else’s fattoush looked more lettuce-y than mine and said it was from Lebanon.
Plus they had sumac and pomegranate and radishes. Their bread didn’t look as mushy either…..but what’s a man to do if he follows a wonky recipe from an excellent cookery book?
I’m going to make this again soon, it’s keeper even though wonky.
